People seek help on an individual basis thorugh Agape Bridge, who is designed to evalute each person’s specific need and provide assistance directly to vendors and accounts as approved.
Agape Bridge is a very lean organization with one part-time employee and a three-person Board. All payments and accounting are processed through Helping Hands Inc. and administrative costs run less than ten percent. Although efficient (lean), our structure allows great productivity.
The critical work of Agape Bridge is limited by two things: the number of people we can contact directly to evaluate needs and provide accountability; and the amount of resources available to support to families we serve.
The reach of Agape Bridge has been extended with the help of our close friends, called “Connectors.” The role of a Connector is to:
The Connector is a trusted friend and critical component of the AB organization. These faithful people become the eyes and ears of AB to people in need and therefore we lean on them to guide us in the accurate evaluation of prospective Patrons and the relationship in the future. The close circle of Connectors we have recruited have been counseled on our practices for proper accountability and prayer and provide great communication to the Agape Bridge Board. The Connector helps us determine which projects we should address. They should be like-hearted and resonate with our mission. They should love and encourage people moving down life’s path.
The qualities of a good Connector include a passionate prayer life and the gifts of empathy and encouragement of those in need.
Since Connectors allow Agape Bridge to extend our reach effectively the only other hinderance to impacting more families is the level of resources we can generate through partners. Will you join us?
Individual stories of struggle and victory are catalogued as our Patrons move ahead and details that are appropriate to share, along with praises can be enjoyed by all our partners. We are humbled by the prospect that your support will have a direct impact on this world!
